The Opportunity
We are working with a growing, multi-entity business operating across the UK that is looking to appoint an experienced Group Payroll Administrator on a full-time, permanent basis.
This role will suit a payroll professional with experience managing payroll across multiple businesses or legal entities, each with its own processes, pay structures and operational requirements.
You will be responsible for ensuring accurate and timely payroll processing across a collection of entities, managing varying payroll requirements and ensuring employees are paid correctly and on time.
Key Responsibilities
Manage end-to-end payroll processing across multiple group entities, adapting to each entity's specific requirements and procedures.
Calculate and process overtime, commission, bonuses, allowances, travel expenses and other variable pay elements.
Maintain accurate employee records, processing starters, leavers, salary changes, contractual amendments and changes to working hours.
Process PAYE, National Insurance, pension contributions, statutory payments and other payroll deductions accurately.
Complete payroll checks and reconciliations, investigate discrepancies and resolve issues ahead of pay dates.
Coordinate different payroll deadlines, ensuring all inputs and approvals are received and processed on time.
Maintain accurate payroll records and ensure compliance with relevant legislation and reporting requirements.
Liaise with employees, managers and finance colleagues to resolve payroll queries and improve processes where possible.
About You
You will ideally have:
Proven experience in payroll administration or processing, with demonstrable experience managing payroll across multiple entities or businesses.
An understanding of the differences in payroll processes, pay structures and employee terms across separate entities.
Experience processing variable pay, including overtime, commission, bonuses, allowances and expenses.
A strong working knowledge of PAYE, National Insurance, pensions and statutory payments.
Excellent numerical skills, strong attention to detail and a methodical approach to payroll checks and reconciliations.
The ability to manage competing deadlines, work independently and take ownership of the full payroll process.
Strong communication skills and a proactive, organised approach to resolving payroll queries.
If you have the payroll experience and attention to detail required to manage different payroll arrangements within a growing group, we would welcome your application.
