You will help protect customers and the business by managing Data Subject Access Requests (DSARs) accurately and fairly. Working within UK GDPR and Data Protection Act requirements, you will ensure personal data is handled lawfully, securely, and with care. This role plays an important part in reducing risk, improving processes, and building trust through consistent, high‑quality data handling.
- Manage DSARs from receipt through to final response within statutory deadlines
- Apply GDPR principles to ensure lawful, fair, and accurate data disclosures
- Validate requests, confirm scope, and document decisions clearly
- Review data carefully to ensure accuracy, relevance, and completeness
- Apply red actions consistently to protect third‑party and sensitive information
- Maintain accurate records for tracking, audit, and reporting purposes
- Escalate complex, high‑risk, or time‑sensitive cases appropriately
- Respond to DSAR queries from customers and internal stakeholders
- Identify trends and share insights to improve controls and processes
- Work collaboratively to maintain strong data protection standards
- Experience in financial services or a regulated, data‑driven environment
- Understanding of GDPR or data protection principles in practice
- Strong attention to detail when handling sensitive information
- Clear written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to follow processes, guidance, and structured workflows
Confidence managing multiple requests and competing deadlines - Organised approach with strong record‑keeping discipline
- Ability to work independently and elevate issues when needed
- Comfortable handling confidential and sensitive data responsibly
- Resilient and adaptable in a fast‑paced, changing environment
