Musical Director - Falkirk Youth Theatre

at 17:00

We are seeking to engage an experienced Musical Director to work on the production of ‘Hades Town Teen Edition’ with our senior group (Age 11-18). March - Nov 2026

The post holder will be responsible for:

  • Attending weekly sessions to teach vocal technique and musical numbers to young people
  • Liaising with a production team to ensure a cohesive artistic vision
  • Attending all rehearsals and performances
  • Creating a positive working environment of mutual respect for all parties
  • Having the musical numbers ready for performance by w/c 2nd November 2026

Dates and Times:
Sundays 2026, 1pm-4pm in Grangemouth Town Hall (unless otherwise stated)

Term 2 1st March 8th March BREAK 19th April 26th April MAY HOLIDAY - NO SESSIONS 10th May 17th May 24th May 31st May 7th June 14th June 21st June

Fee - Based on £30.00 per hour x 3 hours per week 11 week term £990

Term 3 16th August 23rd August 30th August BREAK 13th September 20th September 27th September 4th October

Fee - Based on £30.00 per hour x 3 hours per week 7 week term £630.00

Term 4 25th October 1st November Tues 3rd November Tech Wed 4th November Dress 1 Fri 6th November Dress 2 Sat 7th November Shows 1 & 2 Sun 8th November Show 3

Fee - Based on £30.00 per hour x 3 hours per week 2 week term £180.00 Show Fee (Tues – Sun calls) £700.00

You will be required at all of these rehearsals and performances

Total Fee Payable: £2,500.00

Person specification
  • Relevant qualification in Music
  • Proven experience in working with young people
  • Proven experience in MD role for medium to large scale theatre productions
  • Ability to work individually and as part of a team
  • Ability to prioritise and work to strict at 17:00.
