Due to increased demand, Forth Valley College is seeking an experienced engineering professional to teach Mechanical and Manufacturing Engineering to learners across SCQF levels 5-7. The post will involve predominantly practical, experiential delivery in engineering workshops, including PEO2 SVQ units, with classroom teaching where required.

About the role
You will deliver high-quality learning, teaching and assessment in mechanical and manufacturing engineering. Depending on your expertise and business need, subjects may include hand fitting, mechanical maintenance, health and safety, and related NC units. You will create effective learning and assessment materials, support awarding-body quality processes and work with colleagues to keep the curriculum relevant and current.

About you
Industrial experience in a relevant engineering discipline.

Experience of workshop-based delivery or training; experience of mechanical or manufacturing SVQ delivery is particularly welcome.
Ideally, a relevant Higher National qualification, apprenticeship and industrial experience or professional equivalent
An understanding of awarding-body quality requirements, ICT and health and safety.
The ability to work collaboratively and provide an engaging, learner-centred experience.
Previous teaching experience is desirable but not essential. Applications are welcomed from experienced industry professionals, and the successful candidate should be willing to work towards a professional teaching qualification and Assessor and Verifier qualifications.
