We are looking to recruit a Learner Development Worker. The post is based within the STEM and Construction Department.
An enthusiastic, motivated individual is required to support FVC learners from various vocational areas, across three campuses. Main tasks include the delivery of meta skills workshops, attendance monitoring and generic day-to-day support including internal/external referrals along with timetabled slots for working with NC and HN class groups. You will work closely with the academic delivery team to help support students during their studies at the college.
Educated to at least HNC level or equivalent, you should have experience of supporting groups of learners in a classroom environment as well as on an individual basis. Excellent communication, ICT and customer-care skills are essential. PDA or equivalent teaching/guidance qualification and driving license are desirable.
This is a 0.5 FTE post which due to current timetabling will be required Wednesday and Friday full days and a half day (am) on a Thursday.
