Position: Site Engineer (Temporary)
Site Engineer – Multi‑Site Civils (Up to 20 Weeks)

Central Belt | Immediate Start | Foundations, Roads & External Works

We’re recruiting a Site Engineer to support four live civils sites across the Central Belt for a period of up to 20 weeks. You’ll work closely with the Project Manager, providing engineering support across two Edinburgh‑area sites on an ad‑hoc basis, before moving onto the principal long‑term project for the remainder of the programme.

Project Scope Includes

Footpath construction and road alterations

RC concrete slabs and road works

Foundations and associated civils

External works packages

The Role

Setting out for a variety of civils activities across four sites

Supporting site teams with engineering duties and QA

Supervising subcontractors and ensuring works meet specification

Providing accurate records, measurements and site documentation

Working flexibly across sites as directed by the Project Manager

Once the two Edinburgh‑based sites are complete, the Engineer will be based full‑time on the main project for the duration.

What You’ll Need

Previous experience as a Site Engineer on civils projects

Strong setting‑out skills across foundations, roads or external works

Ability to work independently and adapt to changing site priorities

Good communication and organisational skills

Full UK driving licence
