Responsibilities
- Provide person-centred care to adults with learning disabilities, enabling them to live in their own homes and within their local communities.
- Apply NHS Forth Valley’s six core values and uphold an ethos of dignity and respect in all interactions.
- Participate actively in a small staff team, sometimes working independently and in unsupervised capacities.
- Support service users with daily living and life‑style activities through a keyworker system.
- Adopt flexible working patterns, including shift work, weekend duties, and sleep‑over assignments, with additional allowance paid.
- Travel across the service area (Falkirk, Stirling & Dunblane) as required.
- Attend staff meetings and in‑house training; additional hours may be required on occasion.
- SVQ Level 2 or 3 Health & Social Care (or evidence of equivalent study) – training will be provided as required.
- Registration with the Scottish Social Services Council (SSSC) – a minimum requirement for employment.
- Demonstrated experience in supporting individuals with learning disabilities (preferred).
- Ability to work flexible hours and to adapt to changing care needs.
Shift‑work allowance for weekend and sleep‑over duties; additional hours are available if requested. From 1/4/26 the full‑time working week on the Agenda for Change schedule will reduce from 37 to 36 hours, with a corresponding increase in hourly rate to maintain pay levels.
