Medical Receptionists to join our friendly and supportive team.

Our reception and administration team plays a vital role within the practice and is often the first point of contact for our patients.
The RoleAs a Medical Receptionist, you will be at the heart of the day-to-day running of the practice.
The role is varied, busy and rewarding. You will work closely with patients, clinicians and colleagues to ensure patients receive an efficient, professional and compassionate service.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Welcoming patients and assisting with enquiries at reception
- Handling incoming telephone calls professionally and efficiently
- Booking, changing and managing patient appointments
- Helping patients access the most appropriate member of the practice or wider healthcare team
- Processing patient requests and administrative queries
- Managing correspondence and clinical administration
- Maintaining accurate patient information and records
- Handling confidential and sensitive information appropriately
- Working collaboratively with our clinical and administration teams
- Supporting the smooth day-to-day operation of the practice
Full training on practice systems and processes will be provided.

You should have:

- An understanding of the importance of confidentiality and discretion
Previous experience within a GP practice or healthcare environment would be advantageous,but is not essential. We are equally interested in applicants with strong transferable experience from administration, customer service or other public-facing roles.

You will become part of a large and supportive multidisciplinary practice team including:
- 5 GP Partners
- 2 Advanced Nurse Practitioners
- 2 Practice Nurses
- Reception and administration colleagues
Our practice is also supported by a wider multidisciplinary team including mental health, physiotherapy and pharmacy professionals.
We are a teaching practice and support medical students from the University of Glasgow.
Braesview Medical Group is based within
Meadowbank Health Centre in Polmont, a modern, purpose-built healthcare facility.
The building is also home to a range of other healthcare services, including district nursing, treatment room services, physiotherapy and an on-site pharmacy.
Polmont is ideally situated between Falkirk and Linlithgow, with excellent transport links to Edinburgh, Glasgow and Stirling.

Starting from £13.14 per hour, depending on experience.
Annual leave is calculated pro-rata for part-time employees:
- Less than 5 years' service:25 days + 10 public holidays
- 5–10 years' service:28 days + 10 public holidays
- More than 10 years' service:30 days + 10 public holidays
