Accounts Payable Supervisor

Your new company
Based in the Falkirk area, our client is recruiting for an Accounts Supervisor to join their team on a permanent basis. The hours of work are Monday-Friday 8.30am-5pm. The organisation offers hybrid working, with 3 days in the office and 2 days from home. The organisation can be accessed by local public transport and there is also on-site parking.

Your new role
As Accounts Payable Supervisor, you will assist in managing a team of 6 AP clerks, setting clear goals and priorities to ensure timely and accurate invoice processing. You'll oversee payment runs, maintain robust internal controls, and partner with suppliers and internal stakeholders to resolve issues and optimise processes. A key part of your role will involve driving the adoption of AP automation tools and using data and KPIs to monitor performance and deliver continuous improvement.

Key responsibilities include:

• Leading and motivating the team to achieve daily, weekly, and monthly targets.
• Overseeing payment schedules and ensuring compliance with internal controls.
• Partnering with suppliers and internal teams to reduce exceptions and improve system adoption.
• Monitoring touchless processing rates and reporting on key metrics.
• Supporting system enhancements and finance transformation initiatives.

What you'll need to succeed
You will be experienced in both staff supervisory responsibilities and be comfortable undertaking accounts payable duties. You will be a friendly and professional communicator who can build relationships effectively. You will have a hands-on team player attitude and be able to work efficiently from your own initiative.
