Overview
We are recruiting for a Retail Development Manager to join our Booker and Makro Wholesale division. You will work with Premier symbol operators and independent retailers to build relationships and grow their businesses.
Responsibilities- Drive new business growth in your region through recruitment of competitor stores and identifying new store opportunities for existing retailers.
- Manage a defined territory with responsibility for sales, debt, margin, cash profit and customer satisfaction, with an emphasis on sales growth.
- Collaborate with the General Manager and partners to build relationships and trust with retailers.
- Adaptive to people and situations; able to operate with a daily routine but flexible as needed.
- Solution-focused sales approach with problem-solving abilities and resilience to handle difficult conversations.
- Familiar with the local area and the social and economic factors affecting it.
- Willingness to travel frequently.
- 5-day week with possible weekend and bank holiday work.
- Frequent travel required.
