Overview
A vacancy has arisen within CADS for a Band 6 Clinical Nurse Specialist within the Community Alcohol and Drug Service at Falkirk Community Hospital.
Responsibilities- Provide clinical expertise, leadership and supervision to nursing staff engaged in delivering evidence‑based, specialist interventions to individuals with substance use problems.
- Implement the recovery model of care and treatment for those with drug and alcohol related issues.
- Provide structured supervision to each member of the nursing team to ensure patients with substance use have access to treatment and progress along the recovery pathway.
- Work within an integrated model of care in conjunction with partner agencies to promote recovery.
- Registered Mental Nurse (RMN) at 1st level, trained to degree level.
- Post qualifications in a relevant speciality.
- Experience in substance use services and the recovery model of care.
- Good interpersonal skills and experience of team working.
- Ability and willingness to travel throughout the area of service delivery.
- Member of the Protecting Vulnerable Groups (PVG) Scheme.
Travel throughout the service area is essential. The Agenda for Change full‑time working week will reduce from 37 to 36 hours per week as of 1/4/26, with a corresponding increase in hourly rate.
