The Mental Health and Wellbeing service provides intensive housing management support for people struggling to manage their homes.
The JobThe purpose of the job is to provide practical and emotional support to people who hoard. By building positive relationships with clients, you will work with tenants of housing associations, the council, private homeowners or renters to help them maintain their homes.
Key responsibilities include:
- Provide individually tailored one-to-one support focused on the safety and well‑being of clients.
- Assist clients in addressing the complexities of hoarding through emotional and practical support.
- Engage in high‑level multi‑agency working and travel across local authority areas as directed.
- Carry out tasks commonly referred to as intensive housing management.
- Maintain client relationships and record‑keeping using IT systems.
Qualifications and experience:
- Good standard of general education and either hold Hoarding Training Levels 1–3 or a willingness to undertake such training.
- Experience supporting clients with complex needs, and a strong grasp of skills required for independent living.
- Excellent communication skills (written, verbal and digital) and comfort using online client management platforms.
- Knowledge of available grants and resources for individuals on low incomes.
- Full driving licence, own vehicle, and flexibility to travel across local authority areas.
- Proactive, adaptable, teamwork orientation, ability to prioritise workload, and a reflective approach to practice.
