Position Summary

An opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic and experienced Health Visitor with current practice experience to work on a full-time, permanent basis within the Health Visiting team based at Falkirk Central, Falkirk Community Hospital, NHS Forth Valley. The successful candidate will be a key member of the Health Visiting team, working with a varied client population including children and families with additional and complex needs.

The post covers the Falkirk area and contributes to the delivery of the Universal Health Visiting Pathway.

Key Responsibilities and Requirements
  • Experience in caseload management, child protection and safeguarding.
  • Experience working with families presenting with complex needs and delivering health improvement interventions.
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills.
  • Ability to work effectively independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
  • Ability and willingness to travel throughout the service area.

The duties of this post require the successful candidate to be a member of the Protecting Vulnerable Groups (PVG) Scheme. More information on this scheme can be found at

As from 1/4/26, the Agenda for Change full‑time working week will be reducing from 37 to 36 hours per week. Part‑time hours will be reduced pro‑rata. However, there will be a corresponding increase in the hourly rate so that pay will not be affected.
