, our File Clerks play an important role in keeping our clinical and administrative operations organized, accurate, and running smoothly. You'll help maintain the integrity and quality of our clients' medical records, coordinate confidential information, and work closely with clinical and administrative staff to ensure documentation is complete and up to date.

What You'll DoAs a File Clerk, you'll be responsible for maintaining and supporting the quality and organization of client medical records and related administrative documentation.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Processing and performing quality assurance reviews of client charts
- Processing charts for discharged clients
- Checking client eligibility as needed or requested
- Processing incoming and outgoing requests for information with a valid Release of Information
- Processing overflow documentation
- Updating client information as requested
- Filing, maintaining, and digitizing records
- Maintaining a tickler system to track missing or requested documentation
- Following up with clinical staff regarding outstanding documentation
- Providing updates regarding outstanding documentation during weekly administrative meetings
- Maintaining office and supply inventory
- Attending weekly administrative meetings
- Maintaining confidentiality and appropriately handling sensitive client information
- Performing other administrative duties as assigned
We're looking for someone who is organized, dependable, detail-oriented, and comfortable working with confidential information.
The ideal candidate is someone who:
- Is at least 18 years old
- Has a High School Diploma or GED
- Has at least 1 year of experience in an office environment
- Has basic computer skills
- Is comfortable working with electronic and/or paper records
- Has strong organizational and attention-to-detail skills
- Can identify missing or incomplete information and follow up appropriately
- Communicates professionally and respectfully with coworkers and clients
- Can maintain a composed and professional demeanor in a busy work environment
- Is able to work independently while also being a collaborative member of the team
Experience in healthcare, behavioral health, medical records, or a similar administrative setting is a plus, but we're interested in candidates who demonstrate the right combination of organization, reliability, professionalism, and attention to detail.
