Job DescriptionRoger Williams University is seeking adjunct instructors to teach graduate level courses in our Forensic Mental Health Counseling program. The program is designed to prepare students for future licensure as a mental health counselor (LMHC) or a similar credential. Days and times for courses have been established and will be discussed with selected candidates. Please specifically state the courses you would like to teach and the general availability (days/times) in your cover letter.
While our schedule is often made a year or so in advance, there are times where we may need an adjunct to cover for a faculty on sabbatical or leave. We will reach out should our needs match your stated interest.
The mission of the Department of Psychology is to educate students about the theories and research that guide the field of psychology, and to train them to use an empirical approach for understanding human behavior. The department is committed to excellence in teaching and research. We strive to involve our students in our research whenever possible. Our interests are diverse and comprehensive and we are committed to examining human diversity issues.

Job RequirementsApplicants must have a doctoral degree in Clinical or Counseling Psychology or a related field and evidence of recent college‑level teaching effectiveness.
At the University's discretion, the education and experience prerequisites may be excepted where the candidate can demonstrate, to the satisfaction of the University, an equivalent combination of education and experience specifically preparing the candidate for success in the position.
