Job Description

Roger Williams University is seeking adjunct instructors to teach undergraduate Psychology courses in various areas of specialty. We are especially interested in specialty areas such as sports psychology, environmental psychology, and other areas within psychology that are not currently offered s and times for courses have been established and will be discussed with selected candidates. Please specifically state the courses you'd be interested in teaching and the general availability (days/times) that you might have in your cover letter.

While our schedule is often made a year or so in advance, there are times where we may need an adjunct to cover for a faculty on sabbatical or leave. We will reach out should our needs match your stated interest.

The mission of the Department of Psychology is to educate students about the theories and research that guide the field of psychology, and to train them to use an empirical approach for understanding human behavior. The department is committed to excellence in teaching and research. We strive to involve our students in our research whenever possible. Our interests are diverse and comprehensive and we are committed to examining human diversity issues.

Job Requirements

Applicants must have at least a Master's degree in Psychology or a related field and evidence of recent college-level teaching effectiveness.

At the University's discretion, the education and experience prerequisites may be excepted where the candidate can demonstrate, to the satisfaction of the University, an equivalent combination of education and experience specifically preparing the candidate for success in the position.
