Controls Application Engineer - HVAC - Base Salary to 130k/year - Fall River, MA

Our client is looking for an experienced Control Applications Engineer to join their team. In this position, the Controls Application Engineer will be responsible for creating HVAC automation solutions for commercial projects, including both bid-spec and design-build work. The right candidate will bring deep expertise in HVAC control technologies along with strong analytical and troubleshooting abilities.

• Design automated temperature control solutions for both specification-based and design-build projects.
• Analyze equipment requirements and determine optimal control and integration strategies.
• Produce detailed point-to-point control schematics using AutoCAD.
• Write operational sequences that align with project requirements.
• Maintain compliance with budgetary constraints throughout the design process.
• Prepare bills of materials and compile technical data sheets for equipment.
• Create and submit project documentation, working closely with clients to secure approval.
• Deliver accurate as-built drawings and comprehensive system documentation upon project completion.

• A degree in engineering is advantageous but not mandatory.
• 3+ years of hands-on experience in HVAC controls design or engineering.
• Solid understanding of control systems, including DDC, PLC, and building management platforms.
• Familiarity with leading manufacturers such as Honeywell, Distech, Johnson Controls, or Trane is desirable.
• Ability to interpret technical drawings, schematics, and blueprints accurately.
• Flexibility to travel when required for project execution.

• Base salary in the 100k - 130k/year range plus bonus
