Overview
SUMMARY:
Provides health care services, applying x-ray energy to assist in diagnosis or treatment. Performs computerized tomography procedures and related techniques, producing images for interpretation by a licensed practitioner. Provides appropriate patient care across all ages (newborn, infant, child, adolescent, adult, geriatric).

- Provide health care services and perform CT procedures and radiographic tasks as assigned.
- Operate radiographic equipment safely and efficiently; maintain radiation safety standards.
- Support patient care across age groups and communicate effectively with patients and team members.
- Assist in clinical education and orientation of student radiographers in accordance with clinical education center guidelines.
- Education:
Associate in Science Degree, Graduate of Certificate Program in Radiography or Accredited Radiography Program (or equivalent). - Certification: ARRT certification in radiography (or equivalent) and/or CT; licensure by the Commonwealth of Massachusetts in Radiography; dual licensure in Radiography and CT preferred.
- Experience:
One to three years experience preferred, but not required. - Knowledge/
Skills:
Knowledge of radiographic procedures, equipment operation, radiation safety, positioning techniques, patient transfers, good communication, ability to handle multiple tasks, ethical and professional conduct, understanding age-related developmental issues in pediatrics and geriatrics. - Other: BLS required; IV competency; flexibility to work overtime, on-call, and weekends.
