SAH Staff X-Ray Tech role at Brown University Health.
Summary:
Provides health care services to assist in diagnosis or treatment. Performs radiographic procedures and related techniques, producing images for the interpretation by a licensed practitioner. - Provide radiographic procedures and related techniques to produce diagnostic-quality images for interpretation by a licensed practitioner.
- Model the organization’s values and Success Factors in interactions with patients, customers, and colleagues.
Required Qualifications
- Knowledge of radiographic procedures, equipment operation, radiation safety, positioning techniques, patient transfers.
- Good communication skills.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks/projects; ethical and professional conduct.
- Understanding of age-related developmental issues of pediatrics and geriatrics.
- Flexibility to work overtime as needed, on-call duty, and weekend rotations.
- Interest in participating in orientation/clinical education of student radiographers in accordance with clinical education center guidelines for radiologic technology programs.
- Graduate of Certificate Program in Radiography or Associate in Science Degree.
- Certification by ARRT in radiography (RT(R) eligible for recent graduates; must obtain certification within 12 months of hire and prior to expiration of a temporary Massachusetts DPH Radiologic Technologist Radiography license).
- Licensure by the Commonwealth of Massachusetts in Radiography.
- BLS required.
Pay Range: $32.05-$47.12 per hour.
