SUMMARY:
Provides health care services, applying x-ray energy to assist in diagnosis or treatment. Performs radiographic procedures and related techniques, producing images for the interpretation by a licensed practitioner. Saint Annes Hospital, 795 Middle Street, Fall River, MA 02721. Work Type: days, call, weekend rotation.

Pay Range: $32.05-$47.12 per hour.

ResponsibilitiesUses computer system (RIS/HIS) to document accurate and timely patient/procedure information to ensure efficient quality patient care.
Assists physicians in fluoroscopic/interventional procedures and prepares contrast as needed. Ensures imaging rooms are properly set up and functional before the physician begins procedure.
Uses proper techniques that minimize radiation exposure to self, patients, the general public and other health care personnel. Modifies care according to patient s age.
- Education:
Graduate of Certificate Program in Radiography or Associate in Science Degree. - Experience:
One to three years experience preferred, but not required. - Skills/Abilities:
Knowledge of radiographic procedures, equipment operation, radiation safety, positioning techniques, patient transfers, good communication skills, ability to handle multiple tasks/projects, ethical and professional conduct, good understanding of age-related developmental issues of pediatrics and geriatrics. - Flexibility:
Ability to work overtime as needed; on-call duty, weekend rotations. - Education/Training:
Interest in participating in orientation/clinical education of student radiographers in accordance with clinical education center guidelines. - Certification/Licensure: ARRT certification in radiography or equivalent (renewed annually);
Licensure by the Commonwealth of Massachusetts in Radiography (renewed biannually).
