32 hours per week. Day shift: 8:30 am–5:00 pm.

Medical Weight Management – Fall River, MA (scheduled in Fall River and Wareham as needed).

• Under direction of the Office Manager, Clinical Coordinator or designee; and under the Medical Assistant Group supervisory agreement, perform a variety of medical‑assisting duties within assigned medical office(s) of Southcoast Physicians Group.
• Assist providers with patient care and procedures, facilitate efficient patient flow through the clinic or office.
• May be responsible for telephone communication with patients, including communication of test results, surgery schedules, procedures and providing appropriate counsel and follow‑up.
• Use an Electronic Medical Record (EMR) and related software to update and/or access patient information, as appropriate.
• Maintain patient privacy and confidentiality.
• Provide medical interpretation in a language other than English when required.

• Completion of four years of high school or equivalent plus specialized courses and training.
• National third‑party certification (e.g., AMCA, AAMA, AMT, CCMA, NCMA) required within 13 months of hire for non‑certified Medical Assistants.
• Successful completion of a Medical Assistant Program or equivalent experience required.
• BLS certification required.
• Prior experience with an EMR and/or health‑related computer software preferred.
• One year of medical‑assistant work experience preferred.
• Fluent in a language other than English and medical interpreting skills preferred.
• Other certifications based on practice specialty may be preferred.
• Must be fully vaccinated against seasonal influenza and COVID‑19, or be exempt by signing a statement.

Will be scheduled in Fall River and Wareham as needed.
