Responsible for receiving, storing, and maintaining records on component parts. This material handler performs duties such as counting, verifying, and organizing all product components, as well as operating material handling equipment and ensuring accurate inventory records.
Measures of Success- Meet safety requirements; personal protective equipment always worn in the facility
- Meet or exceed daily production requirements
- 100% accuracy on inventory transactions and quality requirements
- 100% adherence to processes and material usage, no deviations
- Select and maintain location of raw materials; open crates with crowbar and break down empty crates for disposal
- Picks parts from preprinted pick lists and issues slips; contact planner or supervisor if shortages occur; use tablet and scanner for all warehouse transactions
- Perform a variety of routine duties involved in shipping of merchandise, including selecting, checking, packing, weighing, sealing cartons, applying labels and packing slips, and loading merchandise onto trucks
- Operate virtual scheduler, computer, scanner, and material handling equipment including forklifts, electrical hand trucks, pallet jacks, and step ladder; use crowbar and mallet for crates; must have all necessary certifications for use of material handling equipment
- Carry out proper verification methods as part of the cycle count program
- Operate and maintain an automated chip wringer
- Frequently move average weight materials (over 5 lbs. and up to 60 lbs.) as necessary; detect and report improper operations, faulty equipment, defective materials, and unusual conditions to supervisor
- Maintain electric truck and forklift in good operating condition; maintain prescribed water level in batteries and plug in for overnight recharge
- Maintain necessary records; keep work area and equipment clean and orderly; follow prescribed safety rules and regulations
- Perform other related duties as required or directed
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- One (1) year of experience in a warehouse or manufacturing environment
- Ability to attain forklift certification
- Skilled in using various types of material handling equipment preferred
- Competent to operate a computer and complete basic data entry in systems
- Must successfully learn specific responsibilities as assigned and adhere to production procedures
- Proficient and functioning in job responsibilities and able to attain Manufacturing Process Sheets (MPS) training sign‑off within 90 days
- Basic arithmetic skills, including addition, subtraction, multiplication and division
- Organizational skills
- Ability to push, pull, lift and/or move materials of up to 30 lbs; capable of using hoists for materials over 30 lbs.
- Ability to perform repetitive work requiring constant alertness or activity, including standing and lifting
- Ability to use computer scanning devices
- Capable of following verbal and/or written instruction
- Attention to detail is essential for success
- Well organized
- Must be able to operate material handling equipment safely

Salary range: $27.44 – $29.56 USD per hour. Full compensation packages are based on candidate experience and certifications.

This position has no direct reports. Occasional exposure in a production plant where large equipment and noise are prevalent; safety gear is required in these areas.
