Shift: Second Shift, 03:00 PM to 11:30 PM (may vary based on business needs)

Position Overview
The Packaging Specialist supports and coordinates second-shift packaging operations within a regulated pharmaceutical manufacturing environment. This role focuses on execution, compliance, documentation accuracy, and continuous improvement while collaborating with Quality, Engineering, Supply Chain, and Operations teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate daily packaging activities to meet production schedules
- Monitor packaging processes to ensure compliance with cGMP and FDA requirements
- Ensure accurate and timely completion of batch records, logs, and deviation documentation
- Identify and resolve operational inefficiencies and escalate complex issues when required
- Support deviation investigations, non-conformances, and CAPA activities
- Work closely with Quality Assurance to ensure adherence to standard operating procedures
- Coordinate materials, equipment, and manpower to optimize resource utilization
- Identify and implement process improvement initiatives to reduce waste and improve efficiency
- Support implementation of new technologies and automation initiatives
- Monitor operational metrics including efficiency, compliance, and resource utilization
- Create and manage purchase requisitions in SAP for services, equipment, and consumables
- Maintain effective communication with internal and external stakeholders
- Participate in safety programs and maintain a clean and compliant work environment
- Support internal and external audits as required
- Perform other duties as assigned by management
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Pharmaceutical Sciences, Mechanical, Electrical, Production, or a related field
- 5 to 11 years of experience in pharmaceutical packaging, operations, or team coordination
- Strong understanding of cGMP, FDA regulations, and pharmaceutical packaging processes
- Experience with SAP and packaging data analysis tools
- Experience creating, reviewing, and maintaining cGMP documentation and SOPs
- Experience with quality system compliance and regulatory audits
- Ability to work independently and as part of cross-functional teams
- Experience with Metered Dose Inhaler packaging is preferred
- Authorization to work in the United States (U.S. Citizen or Green Card Holder)
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand or walk for extended periods
- Frequent use of hands and arms
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds as required
- Ability to wear required personal protective equipment
Compensation and Benefits
Expected compensation ranges from approximately 35 to 45 dollars per hour or an annual base, depending on experience, skills, and education.
