Our client, Seafood Production is seeking a Vac Packer to join their team. As a Vac Packer, you will be part of the Production Department supporting the Seafood Packaging Team. The ideal candidate will have strong attention to detail, dependable attendance, and a safety-first mindset which will align successfully in the organization.
Location:Fall River, MA
Shift: 5:30am to 3pm What's the Job?
- Prepare fresh and/or frozen seafood products for vacuum packaging
- Place seafood into appropriate vacuum-seal bags or packaging
- Operate vacuum packing and sealing equipment safely
- Inspect packages to ensure they are properly sealed with no leaks or damage
- Weigh, label, date, and organize packaged products as required
- Previous seafood processing, food production, packing, or manufacturing experience preferred
- Ability to work in a cold, wet, and fast-paced production environment
- Ability to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive hand, wrist, and arm movements
- Ability to lift, bend, reach, and move products throughout the shift
- Strong attention to detail, dependable attendance, and willingness to follow food safety, sanitation, and workplace safety procedures
