We are searching for a talented Nurse Practitioner Hospitalist for the Observation Unit e s Hospital.

Hours: 40 hours, 8A - 8P, 7 on / 7 off (includes weekends & holidays)

Shift: Day/evening, weekend, holiday rotation

Location: New Bedford, MA

Responsibilities
  • Under the general supervision and direction of the Physician, Office Manager, or designee, conduct hospital rounds as directed by individually assigned Physician.
  • Perform initial histories, physicals, consultations and follow-up care visits which may require laboratory testing, radiology testing, and/or immunizations.
  • Formulate diagnoses based on clinical assessments and establish appropriate/ timely treatment plans.
Qualifications
  • Nurse Practitioner:
    Masters of Science Degree in Nursing is required.
  • Certification from a National accrediting body to practice as a Nurse Practitioner is required.
  • Current Massachusetts R.N. registration is required.
  • Nurse Practitioner Certificate is required.
  • Minimum of one year s experience as a Nurse Practitioner is required.
  • Current Massachusetts Nursing Practitioners License is required.
