This is an entry‑level opportunity for individuals looking to jump‑start their HVAC career. NAS employees are our most important assets; they are productive, challenged, well‑trained, promoted, and well compensated.
Duties- Assist with on‑site preventative maintenance, routine repair and calibration after installation
- Use technical abilities to maintain HVAC systems
- Work in a team‑based environment to share information and workload while ensuring customer satisfaction
- Maintain a safe work environment and follow all safety measures at all times
- Perform additional duties as assigned
- Flexibility to work overtime, on‑call and weekends required
- High School diploma or GED equivalent
- HVAC trade school graduate strongly preferred with GPA 3.5 + and excellent attendance
- 1 + years in a mechanical support role; some hands‑on HVAC experience preferred
- EPA Certification – Type I & II or Universal Preferred
- NATE certification a plus
- Valid Driver’s License and acceptable driving record
- Ability to climb ladders and lift up to 90 lb
- Technical aptitude for maintenance, service and troubleshooting equipment
- Excellent customer service skills
- Good electrical and mechanical diagnostic skills
- Ability to complete repairs and required paperwork
- Work independently and self‑schedule
- Self‑motivated to complete tasks within time constraints
- Driven to succeed and work with minimal supervision
- Periodically on call for service coverage
- Willing to relocate across the country after training
- Local travel may be required
- Get onto rooftops via fixed/extension ladders
- Work at heights and handle equipment loads up to 150 lb
- Lifting occasionally up to 75 lb; overhead up to 25 lb
- Push/pull wheeled cart up to 150 lb
- Climb ladders to roof height and extend reach overhead repetitively
- Manual tandem lifting up to 125 lb
Compensation
:
Hourly non‑exempt role with annual salary range $35,000 – $45,000. Overtime paid for hours over 40. Salary factors include geography, tenure, performance and qualifications.
Benefits (subject to eligibility): tuition reimbursement; medical, dental, and vision insurance; prescription drug coverage; 401(k) retirement plan; short‑term disability; 8‑week paid birthing leave; 2‑week paid bonding leave; life and long‑term disability. New employees may receive up to 10 paid days off and 10 paid holidays.
