The Shipping Lead will report to the Shipping Supervisor, assist the supervisor in all aspects of shipping and warehouse management, and act as a backup in the supervisor's absence. This will be an on-site opportunity at our Fall River Facility, and the work schedule will be 7:30 AM—3:30 PM Monday through Friday, with possible additional hours during peak times and at fiscal year-end (March).
- Execute all aspects of the order pick and ship process for freight and small parcel shipping as assigned.
- Efficiently pick customer orders per pick list.
- Efficiently inspect all products pulled by other order pickers.
- Wrap pallets for shipping and load trucks.
- Operate reach truck, forklift, and pallet jack.
- Utilize handheld scanners for all transactions.
- Utilize Teams and Outlook to communicate with other departments and external shipping companies.
- Utilize computer (J.D.Edwards) to administer orders as needed.
- Print orders.
- Fix carriers.
- Investigate order issues.
- Act as a department backup in the absence of the Shipping Supervisor.
- Intermittent peer supervision.
- Maintain excellent personal safety and help promote a safe working environment.
- Collaborate to maintain a clean working environment.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
- 3-5 years of shipping experience, both domestic and international.
- 3-5 years experience operating a reach truck.
- Ability to perform math functions associated with the job, such as addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.
- Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
- Prolonged periods of standing and walking.
- Some leadership or supervisory experience preferred.
- Able to work independently or as part of a team with limited supervision.
- High level of accuracy, efficiency, and attention to detail.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to a non-climate-controlled warehouse environment. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit, stand, walk, and talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to use hands and fingers to type or dial, climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl, and reach with hands and arms.
The employee must be able to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. This position requires computer use. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, distance vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
Compensation:
Rector Seal has an effective process for assessing market data and establishing ranges to ensure we remain competitive. You are paid within the salary range based on your experience and market position.
The target salary range for this hourly opportunity is $22/hr—$26/hr, plus an annual bonus incentive.
Employees may be eligible for pay incentives based on overall corporate and individual performance or at the discretion of the CSWI Board of Directors.
