Glass Roots Construction is seeking Traffic Control Specialists to assist with field operations across the Market. This position involves setting up and taking down traffic control signage, safely directing traffic using stop/slow paddles, and supporting our construction crews with various labor tasks.
Responsibilities- Set up and take down traffic control signs, cones, and barriers
- Direct traffic using stop/slow paddles and clear hand signals
- Maintain safe traffic flow through and around job sites
- Assist with general labor tasks on construction sites
- Operate hand and power tools as needed
- Excavate and prepare trenches for utility installation
- Load and unload tools, materials, and equipment
- Participate in daily Job Safety Analysis (JSA) briefings
- Follow safety protocols and maintain 3-way communication
- Support site clean-up and equipment maintenance
- Other duties as assigned to support the team
- 1 year of construction or traffic control experience preferred
- Ability to follow verbal and written instructions
- Willingness to work overtime, weekends, and on-call shifts as needed
- Valid driver’s license required (CDL A preferred)
- Valid Flagger Certification (ATSSA or state-recognized) - Must have
- Traffic Control Technician (TCT) Certification – required or obtainable
- Traffic Control Supervisor (TCS) Certification – required for supervisory roles
- Job Type: Full Time
- Reporting to: Director of Operations
- Compensation range
: $20 - $25 Hourly - Target start date: 2-3 weeks from offer

- On-call and weekend availability
- Day Shift: Monday - Friday
