JobOverview
Receives and records service request orders from customers and the government and inputs information into the computer system to generate work orders. Ensures all pertinent information (equipment, location, work order number, customer information, etc.) is accurately received and entered into the database. Work model: onsite/in‑office.
Responsibilities- Verifies caller’s name, address, and telephone number.
- Records facility number and point of contact.
- Requests location of the problem.
- Collects information regarding specific problems related to heating, ventilation, air conditioning, carpentry, electrical, pest control, kitchen equipment, or plumbing to provide a detailed work scope.
- Inputs and records information into the computer system and distributes accordingly, ensuring customer service cards, etc., are included with the work order.
- Handles all incoming calls and dispatches emergency or urgent work requests via radio or telephone system.
- Notifies Fire Department, safety, and/or quality control when necessary.
- Makes appointments with requestors for service crews when needed.
- Prepares retrieval/summary reports as required by management.
- Enters completed work order information into the system and files it in the related folders.
- Enters labor hours into the database against the correct work order number.
- Provides feedback to the requestor on status of service calls.
- Performs related duties as assigned, such as maintaining warranty information files.
- Assists the Work Control department as required.
- Accuracy and timeliness in processing material requests within the department.
- Ensures tools and equipment are in good condition.
- Uses personal protective equipment (PPE) when required.
- Maintains cleanliness of assigned work spaces.
- Performs duties in a timely and cost‑effective manner.
- Works closely and harmoniously with coworkers.
- Adheres to all safety and health rules and regulations.
Mandatory
- Documented computer training classes and/or demonstrated knowledge of Microsoft Windows XP and Office.
- Prior database usage, Maximo preferred.
- Valid state‑issued driver’s license.
- High school graduate or equivalent.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Proficient in reading, speaking, and writing English.
- Professional and courteous with diverse people.
- Capable of passing background and drug tests.
- Knowledge of facility maintenance work and related trades.
- Strong multitasking and prioritization skills.
- Ability to work in stressful circumstances.
- Typing speed of 60 WPM and word processing knowledge.
Current hourly wage as stated in the CBA, Appendix “A”, wage schedule. Negotiated and approved under the CBA between Chugach Federal Solutions, Inc. and Teamsters Local 533.
Working Conditions- Must be capable of working in a stressful environment with distractions and interruptions.
- Work hours are subject to change, overtime may be required.
- Subject to hazards that may cause personal bodily harm such as cuts, bruises, burns, dust odors, and elevated noise levels.
- Must be able to sit for long periods.
- Must be able to lift to 20 lbs.
- Involves bending, twisting, and reaching.
