Duty Assistant Numa Elementary School

To perform a variety of support services for teachers and students during the lunch hours, playground activities, to include; bus pickup and delivery times.

Some experience working with students is desirable.

High School Diploma or its equivalent (GED). A current Nevada Driver's License is required at time of hire.

Range 15 - Step A $14.26 through Range 15 - Step K $17.13. Scheduled:
Two (2) hours per day and 175 days per year. Benefits include:

To perform a variety of support services for teachers and students during the lunch hours, playground activities, to include; bus pickup and delivery times.

Receives general supervision from the school Administrator and/or designee.

Supervise and monitor students during lunch-times, on the playground, or other assigned areas; this includes maintaining order and acceptable behavior by all students.

Supervises students in designated classrooms or areas in the event of inclement weather.

Maintain equipment inventory and assist in maintaining lunch areas, playgrounds and classrooms in a clean, organized, safe and healthful condition.

Monitor students who are assigned to lunchtime detention as necessary.

Enforce student dress code policy.

Provide written discipline referrals for inappropriate student behavior when required.

Circulate amongst the tables during lunch periods; to be available to students who need help or to resolve any problems that arise. Disseminates medical problems and injuries to the immediate attention of the school nurse, Principal and/or designee.

Be aware at all times to the students and their needs; (Cell phones should only be used for emergencies).
