RAJA Medical, a manufacturer and distributor of leading-edge medical and aesthetic equipment for the professional aesthetic industry seeking a knowledgeable Accountant to join our team. In this role, you will document the company’s financial transactions by executing daily accounting tasks with strong attention to details. This will be a full-time on-site position in Falls Church, Virginia or Fairfax, VA., The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, highly organized, and has a strong understanding of best practices in accounting.
Responsibilities- Enter financial data and transactions
- Reconcile bank statements
- Prepare financial reports and statements
- Verify the accuracy of transactions that have been entered
- Process accounts payable and accounts receivable
- Create accounting policies to comply with all rules and regulations
- Process payroll
- Post and process journal entries to ensure all business transactions are recorded
- Issue and prepare invoices
- Perform Inventory reconciliations to books and records.
- Post credit card transactions to proper expense accounts
- Post expense reports to proper expense accounts
- Perform reconciliations, noting and reporting discrepancies found in records
- Board new employees in ADP
- Prepares monthly sales tax, annual business tax and tangible property tax returns.
- Assists in the administration of company’s health benefit programs.
- Perform other related duties as assigned
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or a related field
- Previous experience as an accountant, bookkeeper, or similar position
- Knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP)
- Good with spreadsheets, experienced in Microsoft Excel, Quick Books, and basic accounting systems
- Strong mathematical and analytical skills
- Excellent attention to detail, time management, and communication skills
- Quick Books software experience a plus
- ADP software payroll experience a plus
