* Job Description:

**** Overview
* * Our client is seeking a mid-level SOX Tester to support year-end Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) compliance efforts. This individual will join an established SOX testing team and assist with the execution of business process control testing to help ensure all required testing is completed within a compressed timeline. This role is focused on business process testing rather than IT SOX testing and will support recurring audit cycles by performing control testing, walkthroughs, sample selection, and documentation activities.

** Responsibilities
* ** Execute SOX business process control testing activities.
* Pull and review transaction populations and testing samples.
* Perform walkthroughs with process owners and stakeholders.
* Evaluate the effectiveness of internal controls and document testing results.
* Identify potential control deficiencies and assist with follow-up activities.
* Support recurring testing cycles and high-volume testing efforts.
* Respond to testing-related questions and requests from internal stakeholders.
* Maintain accurate and organized audit documentation.
* Work closely with the SOX and Internal Controls team to meet testing deadlines.
** Required Qualifications
*** Previous hands-on SOX testing experience is required.
* Strong understanding of SOX compliance and business process controls.
* Experience performing control testing, walkthroughs, and sample-based testing.
* Strong analytical and critical-thinking skills.
* Ability to manage multiple testing assignments and deadlines.
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
** Preferred Qualifications
*** Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
* CPA, CIA, CISA, or other Accounting/Audit certifications preferred.
* Background in Internal Audit, SOX Compliance, Internal Controls, or Risk & Compliance.
* Experience supporting public company SOX programs.
** Additional Information
*** This role supports increased testing volume during the year-end SOX cycle.
* Candidate will be assigned testing cycles and help the team complete all required control testing by January.
* Environment includes exposure to Costpoint and Procure-to-Pay (P2P) processes; however, this is not a systems-focused role.
* IT SOX and ITGC experience alone are not sufficient. Candidates should have direct experience with business process SOX testing.
