ALEX – Alternative Experts is seeking an experienced Data Analyst to provide analytical support to make OSBP a data‑driven organization. This role builds dashboards and metrics that provide real‑time visibility into small business performance, conducts trend analysis, and partners with program stakeholders to evaluate strategic initiatives and annual goals.

This position is contingent upon award of contract/contract requirements.

• Develop and maintain dashboards and reports using Power BI, Tableau, and advanced Excel for real‑time visibility into small business performance.
• Conduct trend analysis and evaluate drivers impacting small business goals.
• Translate business questions into analytic products and present findings to stakeholders.
• Prepare and submit weekly achievement reports, semi‑annual subcontracting reports, and other required deliverables per DHA standards.
• Support planning, coordination, and assessment of outreach events within the National Capital Region (NCR).
• Assist in developing metrics to evaluate outreach effectiveness and prepare related reports.
• Collaborate on content for newsletters, presentations, and social media updates related to small business programs.
• Adhere to DHA requirements for safeguarding PII/PHI and procurement‑sensitive information.
• Ensure compliance with DHA onboarding, security, and data governance standards.

• Proficiency in Power BI, Tableau, and advanced Excel (pivot tables, macros, complex formulas).
• Strong knowledge of data governance, privacy standards (PII/PHI), and handling procurement‑sensitive data.
• Ability to translate complex data into actionable insights and communicate findings effectively.
• Experience preparing recurring reports and meeting strict deadlines.
• Experience coordinating outreach events and travel.
• Familiarity with DHA/DoD processes and contractor communications.

• Professional certifications in Analytics, Power BI, or Tableau.
• Experience with ETL tools, cloud platforms (AWS, Azure), and scripting languages (Python, SQL).

• Bachelor’s degree in data analytics, information systems, or related fields.
• Minimum of three plus (3+) years of experience with visualization (Power BI/Tableau) and advanced Excel.

In order to comply with the Equal Pay for Equal Work Act, we reasonably believe the pay range for this position is between $58,099 - $68,099. Multiple factors are taken into account with any offer of employment by ALEX, including experience, education, and skills.
