• Design and implement physical - PHY and medium access control - MAC layer algorithms and procedures for satellite communication links
• Develop baseband modems on software defined radio - SDR platforms
• Evaluate the performance of algorithms in simulation and on the target platform
• Develop test software and drivers to support unit, integration, and system testing of all base station software functions
• Perform link budget analysis of LTE and 5G system between satellite and UEs
• Work with other team members to benchmark payload software applications

• A Master's degree or higher in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or related field
• Deep understanding of communication theory and signal processing related algorithms design, such as filter design, clock recovery, signal detection, channel estimation and equalization, channel coding, MIMO
• Hands‑on experience in lab testing & characterization
• Experience with MATLAB, Python, C or C++ for algorithm development, modeling, and simulation
• Experience using test equipment like signal generators, spectrum analyzers, etc.
• Strong knowledge of software defined radios - SDRs and their implementation
• Strong knowledge of the 3
  
  GPP standards, including LTE and 5G PHY, MAC, and RRC specifications
• Experience with implementing DSP algorithms in HDL, such as System Verilog, VHDL is a plus

Compensation:
Pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.
