Duties Help
* Conduct complex, high priority, and sensitive inquiries and investigations into allegations of Military Whistle blower Reprisal as directed by the Director, DHA, Deputy Director DHA or the DHA Inspector General.
* Prepare and review written administrative investigation reports and related correspondence.
* Exercise ingenuity in interpreting and revising existing regulations, policies, statues, and directives relevant to IG mission and functions.
* Brief leadership on investigative findings and investigative data in support of management decisions.
* Provide case management of complaints made to the DHA OIG. Requirements Help Conditions of employment
* This position requires the incumbent be able to obtain and maintain a determination of eligibility for a Secret security clearance or access for the duration of employment. A background investigation and credit check are required. Qualifications Who May Apply:

Conducting investigations regarding allegations of military Whistle blower Protection Act violations; collecting evidence to determine violation of rule, law or regulation; and developing investigative reports. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-012). Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify.

Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-12). Additional information

* You will be required to provide proof of U.S. Citizenship.
* One year trial/probationary period may be required.
