Work Location

Defense Medical Modeling and Simulation Office Medical Modernization & Simulation Division Education and Training (J7) Defense Health Agency, 7700 Arlington Blvd., Suite 3M105, Falls Church, VA . The role requires hybrid work: three (3) days onsite at DHA Headquarters in Falls Church, VA, with the other days telework.

Summary of Duties and Responsibilities

The Requirements Analyst Junior will support the Defense Medical Modernization & Simulation Division Office (DMMSO), Defense Health Agency (DHA) by analyzing existing Medical Modeling & Simulation (MM&S) requirements and capabilities, inventorying Education and Training (E&T) MM&S products, and identifying duplicate or underutilized products to recommend optimization.

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Provide analysis using multiple sources, maintain correspondence files, follow up on pending matters, and serve as liaison for routine queries.
  • Prepare special reports, gather and summarize data, and streamline workflow through DMMSO.
  • Establish baseline of existing MM&S requirements and capabilities and inventory E&T MM&S products, assessing baseline to identify duplicates or underutilized products and recommend optimization.
  • Sustain the Military Health System (MHS) Requirements Risk Management Framework (RM) System Process for vetting MM&S requirements.
  • Catalog and track MM&S requirements requests from shared‑service customers or sponsors.
  • Assist sponsors and customers with submission protocols into the RM system.
  • Advise customers in facilitating documentation for RM system validation.
  • Review submissions for completeness, assign preliminary designation, document, and recommend approval authority, passing to reviewing committee within five (5) business days.
  • Sustain analysis based on Concept of Operations (CONOPS), strategies, or other bases and develop recommendations to mitigate gaps.
  • Coordinate with sponsor and customer on submissions to facilitate routing within DMMSO and RM system.
  • Maintain communication and coordination on review activities, document distribution, comment submission, and refinement.
  • Maintain a repository of reviewed documents, issues, and initiatives.
  • Generate metrics related to MM&S RM system process execution.
  • Survey Services for existing efforts and requests related to training evaluation methods.
  • Assist with funding analysis to support programming guidance and funding efforts.
Qualifications
  • At least an Associate degree in Healthcare/Allied Health Sciences or Business Administration.
  • Minimum three (3) years of experience and basic understanding of DoD requirements systems (JCIDS, SOFCIDS, Services systems, MM&S RM System).
  • Knowledge of applicable policies and high‑level skill in office automation tools.
  • Five (5) years of experience in the military healthcare environment.
  • Five (5) years of project management, consultation, and data analysis experience.
  • Five (5) years of planning, organizing, and supporting Medical Modeling & Simulation Operations.
