Aleknagik Technology, LLC is searching for a qualified candidate to fill the role of Technical QA Analyst
. This position provides independent, continuous quality assurance and compliance oversight for enterprise data governance initiatives supporting a federal health organization. The Technical QA Analyst ensures that governance deliverables, processes, metadata artifacts, automation workflows, and controls meet Statement of Objectives (SOO) requirements, DoD and DHA standards, and approved acceptance criteria — while supporting low‑risk execution, audit readiness, and sustainment.

The selected candidate must be within commuting distance of Falls Church, VA, as this role requires on‑site and hybrid support in alignment with customer requirements.

Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain a Quality Assurance Plan (QAP) aligned with the SOO, contract deliverables, and DHA quality expectations.
  • Establish and maintain requirements traceability matrices (RTMs) mapping objectives, tasks, and deliverables to acceptance criteria and validation methods.
  • Define quality checkpoints, review cycles, and entry/exit criteria for governance objectives and deliverables.
  • Coordinate quality assurance activities with program management and technical leads.
  • Validate completeness, accuracy, and consistency of metadata captured in baseline data inventory efforts.
  • Verify inventory artifacts align with DHA, DoD, and NIST metadata standards.
  • Confirm documentation of system attributes, ownership, stewardship, and security context.
  • Identify quality gaps, discrepancies, and inconsistencies and track corrective actions to resolution.
  • Validate configuration, access controls, versioning, audit logging, and integrity of interim centralized repositories.
  • Ensure governance artifacts are retrievable, controlled, and transition‑ready for enterprise catalog ingestion.
  • Review Analysis of Alternatives (AoA) documentation for methodological rigor, scoring transparency, and requirements traceability.
  • Verify AoA conclusions are evidence‑based and suitable for leadership decision‑making.
  • Validate outputs of automated metadata harvesting and AI‑assisted documentation for accuracy, completeness, and timeliness.
  • Ensure defined human‑in‑the‑loop validation and approval workflows are executed.
  • Verify automation does not introduce data integrity, security, or compliance risks.
  • Validate adherence to metadata standards, schemas, lifecycle workflows, and governance controls.
  • Review metadata quality metrics, dashboards, and exception reporting.
  • Verify compliance with HIPAA, DoD, DHA, RMF, and related audit requirements.
  • Validate accuracy and consistency of metadata exchanged across federated catalogs and platforms.
  • Verify preservation of lineage, stewardship, and classification attributes.
  • Develop and execute User Acceptance Testing (UAT) plans for governance and catalog capabilities.
  • Validate role‑based workflows, usability, performance metrics, training materials, and user documentation.
  • Support optional federated governance pilots and data product lifecycle quality assurance when exercised.
