- Elevate the in‑store experience by modeling, supervising, and coaching associates and support leaders to achieve store goals and KPIs.
- Develop and communicate store strategies that align with company strategy, fostering a growth mindset and culture of innovation.
- Deliver financial plans to drive KPI performance on a weekly, monthly, and quarterly basis, identifying shifts in business and making necessary adjustments.
- Foster an environment of recognition, reinforcing behaviors that meet customer and business needs.
- Resolve customer and associate feedback with urgency.
- Strategically plan and execute movement of merchandise, responding to trends.
- Communicate store‑specific inventory recommendations to the Market Leader.
- Oversee execution of sales floor standards, maintenance, and operations.
- Create a cohesive talent strategy that meets business needs.
- Lead by example and hold the team accountable that all policies and procedures are followed.
- Oversee inventory activities including freight receipt, product placement, markdowns, and MOOS.
- Oversee omni activities in store, including Charge/Send and BOPIS.
- Utilize the Store Visit Assessment to identify opportunities and implement action plans.
- Manage associate timekeeping to ensure labor deliverables are met – scheduling, forecasting, labor additions/reductions, payroll management.
- Recruit, onboard, coach, develop, motivate, and drive results through the team.
- Lead performance management, facilitate developmental conversations, provide feedback, ensure accountability, and conduct year‑end reviews.
- Build strong networking relationships to recruit top talent for all positions, ensuring timely fulfillment of open roles.
- Implement development strategy fostering advanced learning and career development.
- Facilitate store meetings and perform duties assigned by Market Leader or Regional Director.
- Excellent customer service – professionalism, positive mindset, enthusiasm.
- Collaborative relationship building.
- Recruiting, onboarding, coaching, developing, motivating, and driving results through others.
- Prioritization of business functions that drive financial results.
- Excellent verbal and written communication.
- Lead with tempo and hold team accountable to meet time‑bound expectations.
- Operate an operationally sound business with little oversight.
- Availability to meet business needs, including nights, weekends, holidays, and shifts outside traditional hours.
- Proficiency in technology for customer interactions (Register, Register Keyboard, iPhone, Calculator).
- Ability to stand or walk around the store 100% of working time.
- Lifting capability – up to 50 pounds on an occasional to frequent basis.
- Ability to stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl frequently.
- Minimum 4 years of retail management experience.
- High school graduate or equivalent.
- Some college preferred.
