. Inova Fairfax Hospital is hiring for an experienced RN for Inova Children’s Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU). The 108-bed, Level IV NICU is the largest in the region and cares for high-risk infants requiring specialized care and observation. The NICU is the first in the nation to receive The Joint Commission’s Gold Seal of Approval for Prematurity, representing the highest level of care for premature birth patients.

This is a full-time role (3x12 hour shifts per week). Night or rotating shifts are available. Sign-on bonus and relocation assistance are available for eligible inpatient nurses.

• Provide knowledgeable and caring clinical practice and care coordination through an understanding of patient, family, nurse, and healthcare delivery team
• Consistently provide safe, therapeutic care in a holistic and systematic way; patient and family-centered
• Educate patients and families; integrate knowledge, skills, and experiences to meet needs across the continuum
• Communicate effectively and collaborate with other clinical disciplines
• Use an integrated approach toward patient outcomes
• Utilize standards, guidelines, and pathways for care delivery
• Demonstrate leadership in decision making and problem solving

• Experience:
  
  1 year of RN NICU experience required
• Certification:
  Basic Life Support (BLS) through AHA
• Licensure:
  Licensed Registered Nurse or eligible for licensure in the Commonwealth of Virginia
• Education:
  
  BSN from an accredited school of nursing. If RN has an ADN, must complete BSN within 5 years of start date
