Interventional Cardiovascular (Pre‑Op) Admission & Recovery (ICAR) is seeking a part‑time Registered PACU Nurse to work 3 x 8 hour shifts: 6:00 am–2:00 pm, 9:00 am–5:00 pm, 1:00 pm–9:00 pm (must be able to work all shifts); minimal Saturday and holiday on‑call requirement.

Patient population includes all age ranges from infant to adult. We are located on the ground floor of the Inova Schar Heart & Vascular Center – Fairfax Medical Campus. This is a fast‑paced, team‑oriented unit with an emphasis on multidisciplinary collaboration and many opportunities for growth.

• Provide pre‑procedure and post‑procedure care of outpatient and inpatient populations.
• Electrophysiology procedures – pacemaker/ICD placement, leadless pacemaker, ablations (VT, SVT, A‑Fib, A‑Flutter).
• Cardiac catheterization procedures – left and right heart caths, heart biopsies, ASD/PFO closures, carotid stents, and structural heart procedures.
• Interventional radiology procedures – angiograms, chemo embolization, IVC filter, Medports, thrombolysis, venograms, G/J tube placements, nephrostomy and biliary tubes.

• One year of PACU or Critical Care Nursing (ICU/ED) experience required.
• BSN from an accredited school of nursing. If RN has an associate’s degree (ADN) must complete BSN within 5 years of start date.
• RN license to practice in the Commonwealth of Virginia.
• BLS healthcare provider certification from the American Heart Association (AHA) required at start.

• 2 or more years of PACU or critical care nursing (ICU or ED).
• Experience working with pediatric and adult patients.
