Registered Nurse (RN) PACU ICAR – Full‑time nursing position in the Interventional Cardiovascular (Pre‑Op) Admission & Recovery (ICAR) unit at the Inova Schar Heart & Vascular Center – Fairfax Medical Campus.
Shift options:
- 4 × 10‑hour shifts: 6am‑4pm, 9am‑7pm, 1pm‑11pm
- 5 × 8‑hour shifts: 6am‑2pm, 9am‑5pm, 1pm‑9pm (minimal weekend and holiday coverage)
- Provide pre‑procedure and post‑procedure care for outpatient and inpatient populations.
- Assistance with electrophysiology procedures including pacemaker/ICD placement, leadless pacemaker, ablations (VT, SVT, A‑Fib, A‑Flutter).
- Support cardiac catheterization procedures such as left and right heart caths, heart biopsies, ASD/PFO closures, carotid stents, and structural heart procedures.
- Assist with interventional radiology procedures including angiograms, chemo embolization, IVS filter, Mediports, thrombolysis, venograms, G/J tube placements, nephrostomy, and biliary tubes.

- One year of PACU or critical care nursing (ICU/ED) experience.
- BSN from an accredited nursing school; if holding an ADN, must complete a BSN within five years of hire.
- Valid RN license to practice in the Commonwealth of Virginia.
- BLS certification from the American Heart Association (AHA) required at start of employment.
- Two or more years of PACU or critical care nursing experience (ICU or ED).
