As a Security Officer - Hospital Grounds Patrol in Falls Church, VA

As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal at a healthcare location, you will monitor and patrol assigned hospital areas to help deter security-related incidents and promote a welcoming environment. What You’ll Do:

  • Provide customer service to clients, patients, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, and responding to emergency situations as appropriate.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations within the healthcare environment in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the healthcare facility and its perimeter to help deter unwanted activity and observe for any unusual situations.
  • Document and report all incidents, observations, and activities as required by site-specific procedures.
  • Assist healthcare staff and visitors by providing information and directions, and supporting access control measures.
  • Monitor entrances, exits, and restricted areas to help deter unauthorized access and maintain security-related protocols.
  • Collaborate with healthcare staff and local emergency responders as needed during incidents or drills.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Vaccination is required for hospital assignments.
  • At least 6 months of security-related experience is required.
  • Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Ability to lift more than 20 lbs is preferred.
  • CPR certification is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
