ServiceNow Sr Developer

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Service Now Developer with deep expertise in the Service Now design and development across our Service Now platform. The ideal candidate has a strong development background, excellent analytical ability, and hands-on experience with ITSM Service Now modules including Now Assist.

As an Sr Service Now Developer , your work will directly contribute to the success and stability of our Service Now environment. In this role, you will:

• Design, develop, and maintain forms, flows, catalog items, integrations, etc.
• Collaborate with developers, product owners, process owners, and platform engineers to define requirements.
• Support Agile ceremonies and uphold quality assurance throughout the lifecycle
• Adhere to and enforce Service Now and OneGDIT best practices.
• Support platform upgrades, patching, and deployments.
• Participate in Agile software development efforts (standups, planning, grooming, estimation) to ensure quality delivery.
• Collaborate with Scrum Masters, Product Owners, and Developers.

We are looking for candidates with both expertise and a passion for innovation. Requirements include:

High school diploma required; AA or Bachelor’s degree preferred

• 3 years of experience in prompt engineering, Now Assist and agentic AI.
• 7+ years of Service Now development experience within ITSM environment
• Strong understanding of Service Now architecture, modules, and platform capabilities
• Service Now Certified System Administrator (CSA) or ability to obtain CSA cert within 90 days
• Extensive experience designing forms, UI policies, client scripts, workflows, business rules, integrations, and custom applications
• Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and debugging skills
• Excellent communication and documentation skills
• Must be a U.S. person

  Must be willing to work in a GDIT office a minimum of 3+ (three) days per week

• Certified Implementation Specialist – ITSM
• Certified Application Developer - ITSM
• Advanced ITSM certifications a strong plus
• ITIL v4 Certification
