General Service Technician at Mr. Tire Auto Service Centers

The General Service Technician role is full time or part-time and is an hourly position based on the needs of the business. Responsible for performing basic routine vehicle repair and maintenance services in accordance with company standards and manufacturer specifications. Expected to deliver exceptional 5 Star service with effective communication of vehicle issues and solutions, ensuring guest expectations for time commitments and quality are consistently met.

$17.00 per hour with additional compensation based on performance.

• Accurately perform basic vehicle services and repairs in accordance with Monro standards of operation.
• Perform tire services – wheel removal, balancing, patch/plug repairs, changing, mounting, installation, and TPMS service.
• Perform vehicle services – lubrications, oil changes, basic maintenance (bulb, wiper blade, filter replacements), battery testing and installations.
• Consistently complete Monro’s courtesy inspection process, identify, document, and communicate additional needed services and repairs.
• Assist in inventory management – pulling tires and parts, unloading and stocking inventory.
• Assist with all general store duties ensuring cleanliness and readiness in line with Monro standards.
• Perform all services in accordance with Monro’s safety standards, including wheel torque, oil safety, and compliance procedures.
• Test drive vehicles following Monro’s road test policy and traffic laws.
• Understand and adhere to company policies, governmental standards, environmental codes, and ANSI/OSHA standards.
• Maintain technical knowledge by completing all required Monro University training and modules.
• Operate, utilize, and maintain all equipment safely per Monro and equipment manufacturer guidelines.
• Perform other duties as assigned and required.

• Strong verbal and written communication skills, ability to convey technical issues and write routine reports.
