OverviewAWS Infrastructure Services designs, plans, delivers, and operates all AWS global infrastructure. As a Data Center Technician you’ll support all AWS data centers, ensuring servers, storage, networking, power, and cooling equipment operate at the highest safety and reliability standards.
Responsibilities- Perform hardware and network diagnostics and physical repairs in the Data Center Space.
- Participate in the on‑call rotation and on‑site project work to install, document, and decommission equipment.
- Collaborate across teams to drive resolution and maintain service level agreements through proactive issue detection and reporting.
- Manage work priorities through a ticketing system and improve effectiveness through process innovation.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- 1+ year of computer/server hardware troubleshooting or related IT experience.
- Work flexible shifts, including night shifts, weekends, and holidays.
- Physically able to lift up to 40 pounds, work in cramped and/or elevated locations, and stand and walk for up to 8+ hours a day.
- Experience in a data center or other critical environment.
- Associate’s degree, technical certification, or relevant professional or military experience.
- Understanding of network design, protocols, and layer 1/2 troubleshooting.
- Experience managing work and priorities through a ticketing system.
