Data Center Technician , DCC Communities

Amazon Web Services (AWS) Infrastructure Services designs, plans, delivers, and operates all AWS global infrastructure, including data center facilities, servers, storage, networking, power, and cooling equipment. We are looking for Data Center Technicians to support customers across multiple locations.

• Perform server rack installations, hardware break‑fix on various components, troubleshoot network issues, and respond to operational incidents that impact service availability, escalating to senior technicians and management as needed.
• Serve as a primary contact point for internal and external stakeholders, including engineers, software developers, vendors, and contractors.
• Perform on‑call duties and participate in scheduled maintenance and change‑management activities.
• Contribute to documentation and process improvement initiatives based on analysis of operational issues.
• Help train and onboard new team members.

• Take ownership of technical issues brought by customers and engage other teams as needed to drive resolution.
• Solve problems at their root and consider the broader context.
• Maintain service level agreements through proactive issue detection, monitoring, and reporting.

• Regularly lift and/or move up to 40 pounds; participate in group lifts for 41+ pounds.
• Work in a 24/7 environment, including primary responder rotation and after‑hours support as needed.
• Work in cramped, elevated or noisy environments.
• Bend, lift, stretch, reach, stand and walk for up to 8+ hours a day.
• Ascend and descend ladders, stairs, and gangways safely.

• 1+ years of computer hardware troubleshooting and repair experience.
• 1+ years of computer networking experience.
• High school diploma or equivalent.

• Experience dealing effectively with customers during problem resolution and operating efficiently under pressure.

Compensation ranges from $50,600 per year in our lowest geographic market to $113,200 per year in our highest geographic market. Pay may include equity, sign‑on payments, and other benefits.

Shift work will include days, nights, weekends, and holidays. Traveling within and outside the regional work area is required.
