Freight/Receiving role at The Home Depot. Position purpose includes stocking the store, loading and unloading trucks, moving material from the receiving area throughout the store, and may operate forklifts. Direct customer interaction is frequently required for some positions and excellent customer service skills are required. The Freight/Receiving roles may include Freight Team Associate, Freight Team Lead, Receiving Associate and Receiving Support.
Responsibilities- Load and unload trucks and move material from the receiving area throughout the store.
- May operate forklifts as needed.
- Maintain proper on-hands and pricing for customers.
- Provide direct customer interaction and excellent customer service where required.
- Excellent customer service skills; ability to interact with customers in a retail environment.
- Ability to perform physical tasks related to stocking, unloading, and moving merchandise.
- Willingness to operate forklifts where required (training may be provided).
