AWS Infrastructure Services owns the design, planning, delivery, and operation of all AWS global infrastructure. We support all AWS data centers and all of the servers, storage, networking, power, and cooling equipment that ensure our customers have continual access to the innovation they rely on. We work on the most challenging problems, with thousands of variables impacting the supply chain.
You’ll join a diverse team of software, hardware, and network engineers, supply chain specialists, security experts, operations managers, and other vital roles. You’ll collaborate with people across AWS to help us deliver the highest standards for safety and security while providing seemingly infinite capacity at the lowest possible cost for our customers.
Logistics Specialists monitor inventory levels to ensure that proper stock levels are maintained to support build and repair activities. They receive parts, maintain inventory, and check‑out parts as needed to Data Center Technicians and Engineers. They will also be responsible for loading and unloading shipments and transporting parts between different locations.
Key Responsibilities- Ensure that all billing associated with the inventory supply chain is accurate and ready for processing.
- Assemble, address, stamp, and arrange for the shipment of merchandise and materials.
- Assist in daily scheduling of deliveries and pick‑ups to and from production locations.
- Keep precise records of all commodities going in and out of the company.
- Understand all aspects of production, adhere to strict safety standards, maintain very high quality, and be willing and able to work on powered equipment such as forklifts or cherry pickers.
- Requires standing, sitting, and walking for prolonged periods of time.
- Typically works in a warehouse or data center environment where the noise level is moderate to loud.
- Occasionally assists in loading and unloading shipments.
- Occasionally exposed to extreme cold or hot weather.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- 1+ years of logistics or other relevant experience.
- 1+ year of experience in shipping & receiving, inventory and warehousing practices.
- Warehouse Management Software / Inventory Management Software proficiency.
- Familiar with waybills and shipping procedures with transport companies.
- Ability to manage work and priorities through a ticketing system and coordination with Manager.
- Familiarity with computer hardware components and operating systems.
- Proficient with computers and Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel).
