Heavy Equipment Operator

Overview

Position: FULL TIME HEAVY EQUIPMENT OPERATOR

The Equipment Operator is responsible for the safe, efficient, environmentally responsible handling of material and operation of equipment.

• Move bulk and break-bulk material and cargo, and/or load trucks, using heavy equipment including a front-end loader, bulldozer, excavator, tri-axle dump truck, forklift and/or crane.
• Operate all equipment safely and efficiently.
• Perform general labor tasks to assist with material processing, property maintenance, pile maintenance, or other projects as needed.
• Perform general labor tasks related to the use, care, cleaning, and maintenance of the equipment.
• Perform daily clean-up of the work site.
• Follow all safety and operational policies, regulations, and programs.
• Successfully complete all required training programs.
• Interact effectively with other employees.
• Perform other duties as assigned and assist other staff as needed.

• Travel to other Company operations as needed.
• HS Diploma or equivalent.
• Valid driver’s license and transportation; a CDL is preferred.
• Minimum 1–3 years’ experience operating heavy equipment including front-end loader, bulldozer, excavator, heavy forklift, cranes; CDL Class B trucks.
• Ability to safely lift 50 lbs.
• Good communication skills.
• Ability to work varied hours including weekends, holidays, evenings, and/or overnight shifts.
• Ability to travel to other Company operations when needed.
• Qualified individuals must have or meet the eligibility requirements for a TWIC.
