Position: Long-Term Teacher Substitute (Certified) - Math

Overview

Falmouth High School seeks a Long-Term Teacher Substitute (Certified) for a math classroom from approximately mid-October, 2025 to mid-February 2026. We are looking for someone who is a collaborative team player, technologically savvy, and passionate about nurturing the academic, social, and emotional development of math skills for high school students.

Responsibilities
  • Teaching five sections of math courses - Algebra and Geometry
  • Coordinate with the Math Content Leader and utilize common planning time with colleagues
  • Maintain accurate records on student progress
  • Implement the school’s Advisory programming as an advisor to a group of students
  • Comply with, and support, school policies and procedures
Qualifications
  • A valid Maine Department of Education teaching certificate with mathematics endorsement is required
  • Experience working with high school students
  • Approved background check (run by the district)
Wage And Benefits
  • Teacher Scale - BA, Step 0, per diem rate. This position does not include benefits.
